Radio, Television and Cinema Department, which was established within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Esenyurt University, started with its first students in 2016-2017 academic year. The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema aims to train experts who are equipped with the necessary equipment for different areas of the sectors within the scope of media, agency and cinema. Our department provides training for our graduates to have a theoretical structure in the field of visual communication and to develop their skills and creativity in practical/application areas. In addition to theoretical and applied education, our department aims to strengthen the professional and cultural infrastructure of our graduates by considering the multidisciplinary structure of the field of communication and by gaining from courses in different disciplines of social sciences.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from this program, students must complete all courses, applications, internships and similar studies in the curriculum successfully with a weighted grade point average of at least (2.00).
Occupational Profile of Graduates
Our graduates have the opportunity to work in the radio, television and cinema sectors. Our students, who successfully complete the program, have the opportunity to start their careers as directors, screenwriters, producers, editors, programmers and actors, depending on their abilities. They can also work for production companies that produce movies, series, programs, documentaries and clips.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Those who successfully complete the undergraduate program of this department can apply for a master's and/or doctorate in the same department, as well as other graduate programs in some of the other fields. Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam, have sufficient English language knowledge and pass the science exam.
