About The Department

The Public Relations and Advertising Department, housed within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Istanbul Esenyurt University, has been providing successful education since the academic year 2015-2016. Positioned as an important field in the ever-evolving media and marketing sector in Turkey and the world, our department aims to equip students with the necessary skills for this dynamic industry by integrating digital technologies and new public relations practices into our program.

In today's world, the increasing consumer trends, advertising, and promotional activities play a significant role in driving competitiveness for large companies. Consequently, there is a growing demand for qualified professionals specialized in advertising and public relations. As the Public Relations and Advertising Department, we are dedicated to guiding our students towards successful careers in this dynamic sector.

Graduation Requirements and Opportunities

To graduate from our program, students need to successfully complete all courses, applications and similar activities outlined in the curriculum, maintaining a weighted overall GPA of at least (2.00). Our graduates will have various opportunities to work in marketing communications and promotion departments of businesses, advertising and public relations agencies, media planning companies, as well as positions such as copywriters, producers, designers, customer representatives, researchers, strategic planners, consultants, or communication managers. Additionally, they can specialize in social media, advertising, public relations, and promotion, paving the way for an academic career.

Advanced Degree Programs and Academic Career

Upon successfully completing the Public Relations and Advertising Department, our students have the chance to pursue master's and/or doctoral degrees in the same field. They may also apply to postgraduate programs in other fields of interest. Graduates who pass the ALES exam, demonstrate sufficient proficiency in the English language, and succeed in the science exam can pursue education in postgraduate programs.
